Stringing Beard Beads for Extentions

April 10, 2008

Four methods – chose the best for you.

1. Apply Moustache Wax to the tips of the braided extensions. The wax will allow you to smooth the hair into a straight point for threading the beads.

2. Wrap a small, thin strip of plastic cling wrap once around the beard extension. Form a point & feed it through the bead hole. Peel off the wrap after bead is in position.

3. Using a long human or horse tail hair, tightly wind it around the end of the beard extension. Tie it off or hold it while feeding it through the bead hole. Unwind the long hair after bead is in position.

4. Take a length of fine fishing line or beading wire. Create a loop by bringing the ends together and then feed them through the hole in the bead. Finally, insert the tip of the beard braid through the open wire loop and then pull the wire ends to bring the hair through the bead.

Once the beads are on, you can hold them in place with tiny rubber bands, thin bit of brown yarn or a length of wound hair.
